Overview of talk:  For billions of years, all life has relied on Earth’s predictable rhythm of day and night. It’s encoded in the DNA of all plants and animals. Humans have radically disrupted this cycle by lighting up the night.  The presentation will talk about the impact of light pollution on wildlife and ecosystems, energy waste, human health, and our night sky, IDA’s global effort to reduce light pollution and our Missouri Chapter’s plans to protect our night skies for present and future generations.
